Specifically for school-going children, the Child-check package
is designed provide young children with a high-quality medical check
up, to identify health complications, introduce children to good
health practices and identify special learning needs a child may
require. The child-check package includes:
• Optical check-up
• Laboratory tests
• Dental check-up
• Speech and language assessment
• Complete paedaitric check-up

The Paediatric Support Group
Sometimes patients and/or their families need special support that
can often best be found in the company of others who are sharing
a similar experience.
The Paediatric Support Group (PSG), a voluntary group offers help
and support to children with chronic illness such as congenital
heart disease, asthma and Down’s syndrome. The Group provides
information on disease related issues, creates awareness, encourages
interaction amongst parents facing similar difficulties with support
from healthcare professionals. It also supports the Hospital’s
Paediatric Ward with feedback and innovative ideas.
Volunteer groups operate under the umbrella of the Hospital. While
they are not part of the medical programme, they play an important
public service role. The views expressed by these groups do not
necessarily reflect those of the Hospital. |
