Message from Dr. Nasrullah Orya

Chief Executive Officer, AKHS, Afghanistan

As the nation suffers more tragedies of gender inequality and poverty, we must focus on both, short-term and long-term solutions that energize behavior into action, and drive efforts to advance diversity, equity and inclusion to help us rebuild our health system for the better.

AKHS, Afghanistan works in partnership with international donors and the Ministry of Public Health through the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) to invest financial resources, as well as human capital to build back the local healthcare system, as well as deploy training and medical education programmes for healthcare professionals in the country. By lending our expertise and experience, we strive to create and operate sustainable health systems that provide top-tier care to the people of Afghanistan regardless of where they live.
