Counselling Services
Counselling is a therapeutic process for assisting an individual identify his/her problems and coping strategies. Hospital counsellors offer advice based on the growth of a confidential relationship between counsellor and patient.

Pharmacy
The pharmacy strives to provide excellent service, drug utilization management, drug information through its team of highly trained and dedicated staff.

Physiotherapy Services
Physiotherapy is the assessment, treatment and prevention of injuries and other disorders by physical and mechanical means (such as massage, regulated exercise, water, light, heat, and electricity). It enables patients to function at their optimal physical level and often complements other therapies and treatments.

The Department works with patients to prevent disability, relieve pain, and to develop, improve or restore motor functions. Physiotherapists at the Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu practice the latest techniques in proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), ante-natal/post-natal exercises and sports medicine. The services are available for both inpatient and outpatient.

The Department is equipped with modern electro-therapy machines including:
•	Sonopuls 591 (Ultra-sonography treatment - electrical stimulation of nerves to relieve pain and release adhesions);
•	Curaplus 419 (Short wave diathermy for chronic muscular conditions such as Osteo Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis).
Treatment offered include:
•	Cryotherapy (the therapeutic use of cold) for acute muscular conditions and nerve stimulation, which is used to treat facial palsy and chronic conditions such as low back pain;
•	Traction and rehabilitation for paralyzed patients;
•	Exercise therapy for burn, respiratory conditions, paralyzed, post-operative and post-natal patients.

The Hospital makes available walking aides and other rehabilitation aids for sale or hire.
