Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P)
The Aga Khan Hospital for Women, Garden (a unit of Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan) was established in 1967 by His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV. The purpose of this unit is to deliver basic maternal and child care services to the neighbouring population.
The centre provides obstetric, gynaecologic, paediatric, antenatal and postnatal care and general surgery. Besides these services, a diagnostic facility is also available adjacent to the unit.
The hospital’s other major component, the Midwifery Training Programme, trains 25 students annually .
