Women's Services
The Hospital’s comprehensive maternity unit features a ward
of 14 beds with one personalised care room, three delivery rooms,
a neo-natal special care unit with three incubators and one neo-natal
ventilator, a nursery for newly born babies, staffed by specially
trained nurses and midwives.
The Clinic offers expecting mothers high quality care through each
stage of their pregnancy: ante-natal, delivery and post-natal.
Paediatricians manage a full neo-natal intensive care unit catering
to both mother and child’s needs. The gynaecology service
operates inpatient and outpatient facilities, a “well woman” service
and has Tanzania’s only epidural pain relief service.
